Exporting Audio

For people like me who may export audio clips from Reaper to use in PT or whatever. One of the issues I had was trying to separate the "stem clips" from the project files. Here is my personal method. If there is an easier way to do this, please advise. Prep a directory folder for the next render only... So I "Render Items As New Take" in this case to print my frozen edits to that new folder by themselves... Then I "Undo" the render to clear the new takes from the project and then go clear out my stem path from the render dialog so any new edit renders won't go there. P.S. If you push your peak files to another directory by default you won't get peak files there either. Now I can drop those regions into PT, Cubase or whatever very easily, the entire directory, and "Move To Origin". The benefit is that you only get the timestamped clips so the export is faster than consolidation and uses less file space. It also makes a good clip based "neutral" backup for your Reaper audio projects that any daw can use easily.

As this is a repeating taks, it might be worth to take the pain, putting up an AutoHotkey script for this. Also what just came to my mind: I never used it, so I don't know, but what happens if you set up the "Secondary path" for this, so you don't need to enter and delete the main path all the time? -Data

Maybe someone else has an idea, but as I said, instead of VB/API AutoHotkey could help. You can do most anything with it. -Data
