i've encountered a problem with reaper when i attempt to record, a boss dr-770 drum machine, on the fly. when metronome is setup to count in 1 measure of 4 beats, then with the boss dr-770 connected thru midi, i start reaper to record.... the boss dr-770 starts with 1st beat of click track........ ( boss dr-770 setup correctly.. i can switch from internal to midi with no problem........play and record drum patterns.......) for reference, i have hard-copy reaper manual. all i want to do is tell the midi clock not to start until click track has finished routine... i need to start up my keyboard rig, cut the drum machine on, find a groove.....,, start reaper record........ and make music............. BUT I CAN'T !!!! THE CLICK TRACK AND DRUM MACHINE START AT SAME TIME, when recording and then i'm lost.......... groove gone,,, back to that manual,, must be here somewhere ???????????? in addition, when recording the drum machine drum, the pattern sound, i hear, is not normal for machine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,( some variation of real beat ) when recorded, drum track is played back,,, track now sounds fine..... could these 2 things be related in some way.............. mr. reaperman, i'll be thanking you in advance for your response.......... ted

right click the playbutton, that should bring up your sync options: what sync options does the dr-770 respond to? does it slave / master? once you have those details set, and put either Reaper or the Boss into slave mode... and the other into master. Then, pressing play on the master will start both. You will probably want to use MTC good luck .t
