Whats the best way to back up reaper manually

Hey guys! Im not so sure about backup services so i think id like to backup everything manually if its not too strenuous. Any of you backup stuff file by file? Whats the best way to go about it? If you think im nuts for not trusting backup services please feel free to explain why i should use them. Thanks

I use freesync to copy all my files automatically from my studio pc to my external harddrive to my pc at the rehearshal room. So I have 3 mostly actual copys of my work. It is not manual but freesync copys file by file.

I use dropbox and google drive (drive for documents that I edit, so I can use google docs and sheets, etc). My audio ideas and jam files go on dropbox so I can a) share them with others and b) so that if this computer is ever stolen or its harddrive dies, I don't lose 8 or 9 years of my musical ideas. I haven't had any problems with either service and both are completely free with generous space before having to pay for more.
