Still no proper loop-recording with V4?

Didn't watch Adam's video (will do soon :)) but if I understand Jens correctly, the fix for the auto-split is Options -> New recordings that overlap yaddayadda -> "Shows recorded items and existing items in separate lanes". EDIT: Ah, yeah I should have known Adam meant the same option. Somehow I thought you'd have an even niftier solution up the sleeves :D.

DANG! They killed that function in the latest alpha37 :eek: + Takes: never create new takes when options/new recording that overlaps existing items/show items in separate lanes is enabled Loop recording in that mode won't create takes anymore :(.

Phew, yeah. Schwa already confirmed the old behavior will be restored (and maybe the new behavior will be a 4th overlap recording option). All's good :)

Yes, template should work, as a template is basically a project-file. I was however talking about 'file' -> 'new project' - does that work for you?

No - actually we are talking about 'New recording that overlaps existing media times' -> 'show recorded items and existing items in seperate lanes'. That is the setting which prevents the effing auto-splitting. :)
