that setup is epic! there's no integrated notation editor but you can configure it to load an external midi editor on double-click, you can use anything you like with that.

holy shit, it works.... I didn't realize that I had to arm the track in order to see the input parameters. This is great. Now the only thing I have to figure out is some wonky signals coming from my fusion - But it works perfectly through my Axiom so I'm happy. Now that I see this, I think I can figure out most of the other Midi stuff I need. Is there a way to import instrument definition files, kind of like what you can do in the Cakewalk world?

not sure what you mean exactly - but in the reaper/data/ folder there's a file called GM.REABANK that has a GM program no. to instrument name lookup. is that sorta what you're talking about?
