Precision metering of input levels

I'm trying to do a little mic test, and I've learned that levels need to be adjusted very carefully do get a useful comparison. Unfortunately the M-Audio Profire 2626 I'm using has quite an unfriendly taper on the preamp channel gain pots so it's pretty tricky getting the levels right. I'm using the basic mixer meters in the default skin right now, and I'm getting there, but bigger meters with a finer scale would be a big help. Any pointers?? Thanks, Fran

You can change the meter size by drag-stretching. And to get a finer scale on the meters, go to: Preferences > Appearance > Meter minimum/maximum value. There you can change the min value smaller.

Sonalksis FreeG ?

I've been trying to use the Sonalksis meters/faders lately, but for some reason they are tremendously slow, they don't like either machine I've tried them on.
