NICE JOB DERROW!!! :D looks like you spoil us now with even a log report -- nice!!! :D so, as MY first step of the inauguration of the new IfoEdit 0.95 Final version :p, i open up this thread to invite everyone to post their share of infomation about (un)successful reports while working with IfoEdit. i suggest the same format like before (see ): 1. subject/topic: (eg. dvd-authoring, creating ifos, dvd-player, vob extras, etc.) 2. short description/report of problem or success: (eg. "chapter import works sometimes," "A/V out of sync," "freezing problem," etc.) 3. name of dvd (incl. region code): (eg. Gladiator - R1) 4. step by step description of procedure: (eg. 1. ripped with decrypter, 2. reencoded with reempeg, 3. used ifoedit pre2 to strip xyz, etc.) i'm excited to see that derrow starts to get his well-earned support (). ifoedit 0.95 (final) is currently muxing on my machine, and i'm ready to get the best out of this awesome prog :P. DA PS: derrow, great job!
1. subject/topic: dvd-authoring - subtitles 2. short description/report of problem or success: After authoring a DVD I put it into my standalone player to try. Every time it is played or I skip chapters the subtitles come on. I then have to turn them back off!! Its a Samsung DVD-S224 3. name of dvd (incl. region code): Bridget Jones Diary - R2 4. step by step description of procedure: DVD2AVI to create .d2v and strip out the two soundtracks Avisynth to wrap the .d2v CCE'ed the .avs file Vobedit to extract the subtitle stream (0x20) Ifoedit to mux them all back together with chapters as per original P.S. Derrow - are you planning on enabling the colour palette to be copied as currently the colours and font are not the best?
1 - Subject: DVD Authoring - Subtitles 2 - Report of problem: After following all the steps in the new guide for Authoring with new version of IfoEdit (0.95), it all came good, except for one detail: when I put the burned DVD on my standalone player, the subtitles start at the same time as the film which means they're out of synch with video and audio. In the stream information of the vts_** file, it says that there's a delay of 4403ms, but when authoring in IfoEdit, only Audio has a box to put the delay. Need help here. 3 - Name of DVD: Planet Of The Apes (R2) 4 - Step By Step: Followed the new guide for authoring with IfoEdit 0.95 all the way (I think).

1. Subject/topic: dvd-authoring 2. Short description/report of problem or success: number of chapters is reduced by a few after multiplexing if you browse through the newly created ifo-file 3. Name of dvd (incl. region code): a.i. artificial intelligence (R1), gladiator (R1) -> i think it's not movie-dependent, though 4. Step by step description of procedure: 1. ripped with decrypter; 2. used vobedit 0.6 to demux audio and subtitle streams; 3. used ifoedit 0.95 to export "celltimes" for chapter numbering; 3. rempeg'ed and got m2v-file; 4. used "dvd author" in ifoedit 0.95 to mux video, audio, subs, and chapters; => dvd a.i.: # of chapters in "celltimes.txt" is 34 like in the original, but the NEWLY muxed vts_01_0.ifo has only 29 => dvd gladiator: # of chapters in "celltimes.txt" is 30, NEWLY muxed vts_01_0.ifo has only 24... 1. subject/topic: DVD-authoring - subtitles 2. short description/report of problem or success: When trying to mux video, audio and subtitle i get in the Log report a "Stream20: data will arrive too late. Current SCR : 37297444, stream DTS: 0". Then, in the end it says "Multiplex status: Buffer under-runs detected." Strange that in the log it appears stream 20, since the subtitle stream is 21 (it's the second subtitle stream, in portuguese language, the first is in english). When I play back the DVD it only shows correct subtitles in the very begining of the movie 3. Name of dvd (incl. region code): The Haunting - R2 4. step by step description of procedure: DVD2AVI to create .d2v and strip out the one soundtrack Avisynth to wrap the .d2v CCE'ed the .avs file, following the guide to the letter Vobedit to extract the subtitle stream (0x21) Ifoedit to mux them all back together, again following the guide to the letter.

Hi I'm also getting this "buffer underun" thing. I'm doing American History X PAL R2 Version. And this is the error msg I'm getting when trying to multiplex ALL The subs on the DVD (12): and when pressed ok ifoedit exits. This is the error msg I'm getting when trying to multiplex only 4 of them (each language takes up 3 0x2x of some off reason): and then get "INTERNAL ERROR: input stream buffer too small. Please inform Derrow" pressed OK and then "Runtime error - abnormal program termination" It actually goes through when I'm trying with only one subtitle but the subs does't work after the "problems" in the LOG > I ripped the movie with DVD Decryptor (File mode) > DVD2AVI on main movie > avs > cce 5-pass > (all subs demuxed with vobedit 0.6) > dvd author in ifoedit with on 5.1 chan 448 kbit/s audio track, subs and chapterpoints. I did another movie the other day with subtitles and that one worked just fine so this doesn't happen all the time. Best Regards and thanks Derrow for this wonderful program: Olle
Howdy, i also have the "buffer underrun" and "stream will arive too late" problems when authoring some titles with ifoedit 0.95, since you can enter the delay for the audio streams, isn't it possible in a future version to enter the delay for the subtitles? Black Hawk Down R2 has a delay for the subtitles (reported in the text file created by dvd decrypter) and when i try to use the ripped subtitles they stop working in the middle of the movie (viewing the new authored version that had those errors when authoring on ifoedit). Also i have another question, when a movie has only one subtitle file (one ID like 0x21) it's pretty straithforward, but when for example i have for one language two subtitle id's (like 0x25 for the first part and 0x26 for the second part) how can i use the two ripped subtitle files? should i merge them using a file merging utility? i tried that and it didn't work. Thanx in advance two whoever answers and thanx to derrow for his work.
