Band Tunes Revisited

These are old 8 trk (I originally said 4trk, but I was corrected by one of my old band members) Fostex recordings my former band, Aphrodisiac, made in the bass players basement some 12 or 13 years ago. I made a previous post seeking help on at least a little revitalization within Reaper(based on the dull originals). Didn't get any suggestions the first time around (except in one case, they're prob beyond help), so I tried on my own. At the moment, my only means of monitoring is heads and surround speakers, both obviously not good for mixing. Wondering how it sounds on a decent set of monitors. Obvious improvements on each track, Sam. They sound decent for restorations of full tracks. Did you try using Reafir to do some noise reduction on these? What kinds of things did you do? Who has the originals?

D has the originals. Didn't even think of reafir for some reason! Tried to remove some of that muddy middle from the orig mp3s. Of course, that took away from some parts that didn't need it as much as others, so I tried to make up for it by boosting both the low and high ends--within reason. Of course, added a bit of compression. Mostly done with T-Racks.
