I know this isn't part of your generous offer so forgive me if this is at all inappropriate to suggest - but if you were willing at some point to open-source your libsndfile wrapper, I know someone who might be interested in maintaining/updating it (and I'd hope porting it quickly), since it's right in line with PARIS-related work he's doing at the moment. I can PM you details if you like.

Ok, no serious interest here then. I have talked with sws and he might be taking over my extension source codes for further development and keep the sources open too. I have myself come to an impasse with the Reaper extensions development, there isn't enough interesting and fun things left to do the way I'd want to. So I am moving to other things. Hopefully the open source codes for the extensions will benefit both developers and users eventually in some way.
Unfortunately while most users appreciate the efforts of developers like yourself I know from my own experience that it is difficult to get any sort reasonable financial return in any industry related to music. With the advent of 'free' mp3 downloads there is an expectation that someone provides others with things for free. Hence it is difficult as a developer to sustain a prolonged interest when other activities call. I'm not a Reaper user (which I think is more than unreasonably good value) but if I was I'm sure I would appreciate your efforts. Good luck with your future ventures.
As you know I love your extension (glad to see you did a bit more on the pitchbend) :) Next time I get some money in, maybe I can commission you to do something that would be of benefit to lots of users including yourself. I don't mind if the extension is big either. Runaway, I haven't forgot to buy your great converter either, just been away for a while, will send you a big file soon to test it, if it handles it well I'll be buying it! :) (might buy it anyway for that price as it's a bargain!

That's a nice offer, thanks Xenakios. And i'm sorry to hear that you want to stop your development for Reaper :-( Of course i'm interessted in your Source Code, but that's unlikly that i will do stuff like Mac Ports with it, i have enough to do with the MCU extension and other (non-Reaper) projects.
I know little about coding myself, so I don't know the implications of this, but would you be thinking of doing something like putting it up on SourceForge?
Just a follow up. I've handed over the source codes of the commands extension to sws. The audio processing extension is still private to me but I will let that loose soon too. I'll post the libsndfile wrapper source codes somewhere today.
Thanks again Xenakios! So everyone knows I plan to merge the SWS and Xenakios extensions into one "unified" extension to be released later this year, to be shortly followed by a mac version too.
