peice of dung midi interface!!

i would like to throw the peice of dung midi interface i have out! i'm setting up my 001 this weekend and what to keep things simple but effective. i have a jp-8000 (synth - controller) and a E-mu XL1 (rack). can i just daisy chain the XL 1 off the jp-8000, using the 1 midi port on the 001? and will that limit me to 16 channels for both instruments? you guys do answer the simple ?'s don't ya? I hope so cause if not i'm S.O.L. - those guys in my music store sure can't! L.O.L.

I'd patch the 001 outs to the sampler. Full EOS is deep stuff bro. You may want to use the thru to connect your keyboard's synth voices. Or OUT- and filter MTC. Beat Clock, or whatever. EMU's gear has responsive MIDI. IMO Alas, only 16 channels. Anybody out there using the EOS browser...or EOS file assistant- 4 MAC OS? You need SCSI. Anyone?

your over my head man. i don't have a sampler (unless you mean the E-mu XL-1 - but its a rack sound module). perhaps your saying let the keyboard be last on the chain. what is EOS........i'm intrested!
