typo: I meant Kontakt not "Konyakt", like with a strange foreign accent! Hi, This is probably a basic question, but I know nothing of it. When I insert the Kontakt 3 instrument, I have the possiblity of choosing the instance in 8, 15 or 32 outs. Now, what's the use? Aside from the main Kontakt 3 insert, what are the other outs for since they play nothing? I know I can load several instruments with Kontakt and assign each to a MIDI channel. Are the others outs for another set of 16 MIDI channels? I'm lost. Thank you for your help.
each of the instruments you load into Kontakt can be configured to play out of one of 8, 16 or 32 outs... then each of those instruments can be treat by Reaper's bundled and or third party FX. thus your kick need not get the same love as your snare... or your bass treated like your flute. .t
Thanks Tallisman and Arbogast, I understand now... I think. i.e. I have a piano, a cello and a violin loaded on Kontakt. I assign one out to the piano, another out to the cello and another out to the violin. This way, I can add a reverb to the piano using out 1, a flanger to the cello using out 2 and chorus to the violin using out 3? I am getting this right? Thank you for the template, I think this will be handy! Thanks again.
...and, there's some stuff that might be relevant at the thread at the link below. It's about GPO with the Kontakt 2 player, but it also applies to Kontakt in general. Pete
