how many of you folks would be happy about having a score viewer / editor (and be it only very basic) integrated in reaper? i would be interested in knowing this a) just to get an idea on how many people would really appreciate a score editor (in the hope that it might climb upwards a bit in the priority list in case many people would like it and it would be technically feasible) b) to maybe get some info from reapers fathers whether they are actually considering the implementation or not (be it for technical / feasibility or other reasons) --> "should we bury the dreams or is there hope"? thanks! :-)
shit, i obviously missed to allow to vote for more than one point and don't know how to edit this.. :-(

I don't know why we'd even want one if it were only "very basic", and it's not realistic to ask for Finale or Sibelius-like functionality within Reaper. Why should one app be expected to do everything? I would vote for Reaper continuing to focus and improve on what it already does. Then we can purchase one of the very good notation editors that are already out there if we wish. Just my 2p.
I haven't voted (because I wanted to vote for two out of the three options) but would like to comment. I have a friend who is head of audio at a local high school and who uses Reaper himself at home. He would like to change the school over from whatever it is using now to Reaper, but can't precisely because it lacks this feature. I wouldn't use it myself but I can clearly see your point.
For those of us who are trained, it is much much easier to see what's happening in notation than in a piano roll. Its totally not necessary to have Sibelius like output (I have Sibelius and Lilypond for that after all!) - it would just help my workflow a lot to be able to see the notes on the staff.
