Hi, One way that I use to get midi - score notation is with Tux Guitar (Tab/notation editor) This is a free open source Guitar Pro equivalent. It also opens Guitar pro files. As well as Tab it also has a notation editor/viewer. To use I open Tux Guitar import the midi file that is used in Reaper (it doesn't open midi directly unfortunately, so can't be set up as an external editor in Reaper) change the view to notation and either edit or print the notation. It copes well with multiple tracks/channels etc. The main use I have for it is to open one of the thousands of Guitar pro music files (usually multi track full instrument scores) export the song to Midi. Open the midi file to multiple tracks in Reaper, then assign various virtual instruments/synth VSTs to the individual tracks. You can get some great midi driven tracks using this. I know it is nowhere as useful as an integrated notation viewer/editor but I don't do a lot of Midi so it works well for me. Best regards,

I can't read notation, despite years of having it almost beaten into me. So I voted no, selfishly, not that its the People's Republic of Cockos anyway.

I voted I would like to know what the Cockos think. Sure it would be a huge plus for a lot of people I know, but I see this would be a nightmare to build from scratch and a huge time consuming task. The feature request forum is already so full of sensible requests that must be fullfilled before... Maybe there's something to source from along the open source community ?...
