OS 9.1 update. help reqd please>>

G4 450 MP OS 9.0.4 1GB ram PT LE5.1 When I try to run the installer (with extensions off) it gets about half way through and then says there is a problem with reading "big system mortels" from installer. Anyone any ideas how to get round this? Thanks in advance, Andrew

Did you start up from the installer disk? Open startup disk control panel and select the startup disk...Restart...Hold down the C key... Try it...

it was a web download! from the apple site. i tried installer running from OS9 disk, but no joy there either.....

I downloaded the update again, and this time no problems. I did try the old one a number of different ways, but this one worked first time, after starting up from original OS9 CD. Onwards and upwards. Seems pretty good already. cheers andrew
