Please do a search of the forum, as this has been discussed quite a bit and your problem will likely be solved with the results you recieve from your search. Please also post your logfile, so we can see the settings you used. The most common cause of sync issues is using an unsupported DVD ripper (other than the Internal Routines or vStrip), SmartRipper is especially known to cause sync problems.
Hi, I tried to check the advanced values in the bbMPEG tab but could not find the advanced drop down button that you were talking about. However, I did find an advanced drop down menu in the encoder. Just in case I will list those values from the CCE advanced settings: Linear quantizer scale, zigzag scanning order and progressive frames boxes were checked in the MPEG2 video settings. Intra DC decision - Auto 10 was not checked. GOP Settings: M=3 N/M=5 Seq Header every = 1 Restrict auto 1 frame insertion and close all GOPs were not checked. Also, I tried to rip the DVD with version 1.1.0 build 1a and encountered the same problem. You hear the MGM lion roaring while on the screen it mentions that this movie has been modified to fit your screen. As a result, the audio and video end up being off by 2 seconds the entire time. Again, thank you for any help you may give.
I selected the advance level in the misc. tab for the dvd2svcd level. However, after trying to rip it again I still had the same problem of the audio being two or three seconds faster than the video. Unless I get anymore suggestions, I will probably try another DVD of the same title. Thanks for everyones help.

I think you are missing the point. What was said by DVD2SVCD in two posts is to be combined into one thought. To be able to give him the answer he needs for the BBmpeg info you must change the level of DVD2SVCD to Advanced on the Misc Tab. This will then give you the ability to see the Advanced dropdown arrow on the BBmpeg tab. By clicking on this a new window will pop-up. He would like to know what numbers/settings are in that window. Sorry about that.. Here are the settings within the bbMPEG tab. Program Stream = SVCD VBR, Write program end code, add SVCD scan offsets are checked. Computer Bitrate = use max Time Stamps = all frames pulldown = Auto Forced Max Rate = 0 Pack Options = Size = 2324, packets = 1 Buffersize = Video = 230, Audio1 = 4, Audio2 = 4 Startup Delays = Pack = 0, Video = 180, Audio1 = 180, and Audio2 = 180.
