a/v sync issue

@H8_2BU As it is a "general" fault, you can try to clean the laser lens. I do not know which is the right way do do this job, but I've done it twice in my childrens' PS2 with excellent results. I've used a piece of paper (a kleenex, yes!). You know, the life of a PS2 is not so easy in the hands of any child, but also in my own hands... jsoto

jsoto, You are probably right. I think a good cleaning would be good for it. Still, I want something faster and would like to combine my DVD and CDR and get something a little faster so I went with.. Liteon 48x24x24x16. 16X dvd which is twice as fast and a cdrw burner that is also twice as fast on CD-Rs and 3 times faster on a RW. That and now I use one less bay. Either way I am glad the problem has been found. I think DVD2SVCD is by far the easiest and best back up tool out there. Now I just need to do my part and send the creator some $$$ to help support their software(AND I WILL). -H8

Finally got the new DVD drive 

They sent me the wrong drive initially so I had to go through the return process. Anyway, I never would have thought that a bad DVD drive would cause CCE to crash and sync issues but it did. The new drive works great and so does DVD2SVCD. Thanks H8
