Freeware Soft Synths for Reaper OSX

preset problem 

i think its a reaper problem crytal oak synth works fine when its a vsti with presets, but not when it a audio unit. ( presets dont appear). im new in this forum, is this the kind of message i can post in "track bugs" requests ? thanks

Hi, I'm just trying Reaper. Definitely dissapointed majorly in the weirdness about preset saving for Automat. Automat is the BEST. It has a feature no other plug seems to have: it functions like a multitimbrel instrument, i.e. it take input on 16 channels and treats them independently, including independent pitch-bend. Still, all parameter changes are the same across the channels. Thus it is the very best plugin to use with my TPX microtonal keyboard from H-pi.com I'd love if anyone has solutions to the preset issue for Automat, this could otherwise be a deal-breaker for me for Reaper for now. To be clear, I don't care about factory settings, just the ability to save my own! (By the way, Digital Performer manages just fine with these presets, only it needs to be saved in a particular folder)

I'm not judging Reaper on this, but this is the one and only plug that exists that does what I described: independent pitch-bend while actively receiving on all 16-channels. If you know of another, please let me know! Therefore, I need to be able to use Automat. Period. Even though Reaper seems great otherwise. I could still use Reaper since it can at least save the setting I have in a particular project...

This is really an issue for me. I don't care if Reaper can open .aupreset files that came with Automat, I just need Reaper to save Automat's settings in SOME format so that at least Reaper can get back to that patch! What should I do at this point? Should I e-mail the developers about it? Is there any workaround at all??
