Reaper project, 13 stereo tracks, hip-hop/pop kinda. I'm interested to see what different people would do with this "vocal hook" wise or otherwise. 15.6 mb zip with oggs. Chop, re-arrange, whatever. If anyone does something with it please post a link to the result here.
ok..heres a ruff stab at something as i mentioned in my pm. dunno if any good. lawrence i need you to work your mix magic on the vocs. like last time. as i'm pressed for time. song name..english toy boy song story/concept... bout what some rich older women do to a naive english bloke who visits miami on vacation. in return he gets his dream car ..a 57 chevy candy apple red...lol. its meant to be daft. .............. i had no time to spare , so its ruff. someone needs to mix in my vocs in with the backing. the two choruses of lyrics i did are meant in reality to be a womens choir effect. think of a womens conga line sorta idea all singing the chorus. i'll post the vocs on their own dry no fx later today , if someone wants to try doin a proper mix.
No edits, just goofing with the d_blue glitch plug-in. Crashed my machine putting more tracks on so I'm thinking 3 or 4 instances of glitch is more than my machine wants to deal with.
Hey Lawrence, here is some very rough guitar ideas. Sorry, no vocal hook. I only did half the song. Some of the playing is sloppy and there are some timing issues. If you like it, I'll finish it and clean up the rough spots.
I have a couple of ideas, but I cant get your original...is the link corrupted? I could only listen to louies version. It wont be hip-hop though... but itll be a song ;)
well, I know, I'm a sloooooooow worker...But hey, my day job is quite demanding, and I get quite lazy when I finally get a day off. This is a very rough version, filled with flaws and its really badly mixed. I Posted to ask if you want me to keep on working on it. The second chorus and the intro to the second chorus are really botched.. Ill re-record them if you decide it's worth it. I'm kinda stomped now, I need a key change for a bridge.. right after the second chorus. The thing is in D.... So maybe just a few of those cool piano notes, but struck in an G progression, for four or eight bars? and then back to the final chorus and a fade out? And then we could call it a wrap. I thought I could do it, but I'm just a dumb guitar player, and this style is miiiiles away from what I usually do, So I need help. any comments are constructive, and any form of collaboration would be GREATLY appreciated.
